  “Anne with an E” is a coming-of-age story about Anne Shirley, a young, imaginative orphan who is mistakenly sent to live with siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert at Green Gables farm on Prince Edward Island. The series, based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s “Anne of Green Gables,” follows Anne’s journey as she navigates a new life, forms friendships, and explores themes of identity, prejudice, and belonging in the late 1890s.
